Much appreciation to several Niagara area teacher-coaches for volunteering to host last minute OFSAA fall championships. What normally takes a year to prepare, these individuals have volunteered to put in place with just weeks to spare.

Bill Lipsett from Sir Winston Churchill volunteered to host the OFSAA Girls’ Golf Championship. Sawmill Golf Course was able to act as host venue, and as he always does, Bill put on a great championship.

Fred Breukelman from Smithville Christian volunteered to host the OFSAA Girls’ A Basketball Championships – he is using both his own and the Grimsby Secondary School gyms.

Jennifer Benoit and Kristin McDobald from St. Paul volunteered to host the OFSAA Girls’ AA Basketball Championships in Niagara Falls.

And finally, Frank Keltos and Tammy Short from Sir Winston Churchill volunteered to host the OFSAA Girls’ AAA Basketball Championships – they are using both their own and the Governor Simcoe gyms.

All three girls’ championships will run from Thursday November 25-Saturday November 27. Good luck to all our Niagara teams as they host and compete at these Provincial Championships.
